    Mitsui Fine Arts is pleased to present “Clay Fire Stone”. This exhibition features two contemporary ceramic artists from Kyoto, Hiroaki Morino Taimei and Shiro Shimizu. We also present a selection of historic stones and tiles removed from their original context of Japanese gardens, temples, and pottery kilns, reinterpreted for the 21st Century.

Upon closer inspection, they reveal themselves as audacious, delicate, and organic. While we are inspecting them, we feel that they are examining us. Buried within them is an energy filled with contradictions. Let's find them.
