A Furoshiki is a Japanese wrapping cloth traditionally used to transport clothes, gifts, merchandise, and other objects. It is said to have been used as far back as the Nara Period (710 -794).
The graphic design of this piece is exceptional. The three diagonal lines and the Yotsume (crest of the Mitsui family) were stenciled. It is a design worthy of being placed in a frame and up on your wall.
