This large Furoshiki was likely used to transport larger items or bundles of neatly folded kimonos and fabrics. You will find a bold graphic of two pine leaves on one corner, with one leaf bent, surrounded by a circle. The design was dyed with the Katasome (stencil). It was the logo of a kimono-dealing business called "Matsubaya," located in Kyoto.
The bold graphic is strikingly modern, stenciled onto the textile of an off-white color. It could be perfect as an outdoor table spread for your next casual luncheon or folded and hung on a stem of bamboo as an accent to your living room.
